Casting Announcement
Marcel reprises his role as Gregg in the
Tony Award-winning musical written by Duke Ellington, running October 14–November 22 at
Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe in Sarasota, Florida.
As a lifelong jazz lover who first played Gregg in college, returning to the role is a meaningful opportunity for Marcel to reconnect with a piece that has been part of his artistic journey.
Past events
After spending the first half of the year away, Marcel officially returned to the East Coast and made his debut at Ogunquit Playhouse in the ensemble of Hello Dolly! The production ran from June 18 through July 18. Marcel was incredibly grateful for the opportunity and was honored to learn and perform as part of such an iconic musical. ✨
THE CHER SHOW
Marcel was stoked to join the Male Ensemble of The Cher Show at the Arizona Broadway Theatre, which ran from May 1 through May 31. He was pumped to be part of this high-energy production and especially excited to perform in sunny Arizona!
The Addams Family
Marcel was elated to venture into his first out-of-coast contract at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, where he performed in the ensemble and understudied the role of Lucas. He had the opportunity to perform the role of Lucas in three performances.
Freedom Riders: The Musical
Marcel had the pleasure and honor of performing in The Freedom Riders concert at Aaron Davis Hall in New York City—a powerful work written and composed by Richard Allen and Taran Gray. The performance honors the Freedom Riders, the courageous civil rights activists who challenged racial segregation on interstate buses across the American South in 1961, helping advance the fight for equality and justice.

The Carole King Musical
Marcel has finally checked a role off his bucket list, stepping into the ensemble as a Drifter in this musical at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre in Lewisburg, West Virginia. This production marks his first regional contract after graduating with his BFA in Musical Theatre.
